Jordan | May 2015 | Amman Portrait Photographer

The 2nd country I added to my trip was Jordan. It was for personal reasons and maybe I shouldn't have but I did. My photo project, Crossing Lines | Finding Love is a project on love stories around the world. This year I'm doing basically all of Europe. I was eventually going to go to Jordan in the future but I was so close, I had to. It was hard not to visit the rest of the middle eastern countries! I really enjoyed my time there. Some moments were extremely hard to deal with (again personal) but for the most part, I loved it. I visited a few cities and one of my favorite places, the Dead Sea. Take a look!

ox, Mayra.

The Grand Husseini Mosque in Amman, Jordan.
I have visited other mosques on this trip but this is the first time they made me cover up head to toe. I was also escorted through the mosque by a man where as in other mosques I was allowed to wander alone.
Mount Nebo.
The Jordan River. It was awesome to see the Israeli tourists on the other side :)
The baptism site of Jesus.
Israel :)
Sigh…the Dead Sea.
We did Petra by night and during the day as well. It was definitely a MUST to go during the day because although seeing the treasury at night lit up by candlelight was incredible, you don't get to appreciate the whole walk from start to finish. It was magical.
We hiked to the monastery. It was tough but awesome.
Look at these rocks!!
So cussing beautiful!
Hung out in Aqaba for a day. Damn, it was hot.
Headed to Wadi Rum for some tea and sunset.
I love camels. Always have. Always will.
Ended my ten days with delicious food and good company.
