Iceland | January 2015 | Reykjavik Portrait Photographer

My current photo project, Crossing Lines | Finding Love, has started…and in Iceland! YAY!
The lovely couples I met for Crossing Lines were so kind. Actually, all Icelanders I met were very nice. They are so polite and helpful. If Iceland is on your "must visit" list, the only reason it should be crossed off is because you visited it! It's a "must see" kind of place.
Here are parts of Iceland, in no particular order. I was there for 5 days. All my time was spent in Reykjavik, except when we went out on tour in search of the northern lights. Although unsuccessful in our attempts to see the lights, the stars were quite lovely on both occasions!

Faint light from the Aurora Borealis.

La Aurora queriendo salir.
Chuck Norris? Yeah, that's right…as Puddy would say ;)
Hallgrímskirkja is a beautifully constructed church in Reykjavik. Definitely worth a visit.
//
This photo is for any doggies looking at my blog :P
//
Needless to say, it was a bit chilly there this time of year.
//
Si que hacía frío en enero.
I found it interesting that even though it was so cold, they still had outside seating available :)
//
I can read the first one on the left! Heehee
//
Puedo leer la primera de la izquierda! Jiji

I just loved how the city is surrounded by these mountains.
//
While we waited for the northern lights to appear, I grabbed a couple and snapped a pretty photo for them :)
//
I have never felt as safe anywhere as I did in Iceland. It was really nice!
I'm not sure if there was a baby in here or not but I was told by an Icelander that it is very safe there. So safe that police officers do not carry guns and you can leave your baby in its stroller outside a store.
//
I want one.
//
Quiero uno.
Do you know of Sigur Rós? No? That needs to change right now! Look them up. :)
Anyway, the lead singer, Jónsi, lives here. So cute.
As you can see, most of the houses are beautiful!
//
Good thing about the pond being frozen is that you can take a shortcut ;)
//
